Hey guys. I am new here like very new. After looking over for the documentation it appears that it's really encouraged to put this inside of a container like docker. I have installed Ubuntu server on a VM in the DMZ of my environment and I guess I'm a little confused on if I even need to put it in a docker container or is it possible to just let the VM take care of it and run Traerik on ubuntu its self or If that's even possible. Thank you!
Sure, you can run Traefik as plain app on your Linux distribution without Docker (doc).
But without Docker (or Kubernetes) you lose a lot of the Configuration Discovery functionality, which can automatically route to target services based on labels.
