Is it possible to configure treafik in docker container so that is not required to enter port 8080 in the url address?
for example: http://traefik.domain.tld/dasboard ?

Sure, do not use api.insecure, but set it up as regular router & service, see simple example.

The dashboard works, but I can't log in via basic auth even if I enter the correct password. The login dialog keeps popping up.
Probably I missed a character:
