Announcing the Containous Community Forum!

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our community forum aimed at connecting and supporting our community.

Why a Community Forum?

Traefik is a community of thousands of people around the world who are working with, and using Traefik on a daily basis. Until today, conversations have been taking place on our Slack channel. But as the community grows, and users of Traefik continue to engage, we’re seeing an increased set of commonly asked questions more and more frequently. In hopes of providing a more efficient way to help both new and experienced members, we are launching an open forum where anyone can post questions and search for any specific topic to find answers from relevant past conversations.

With the forum, we also want to consolidate a dedicated base of knowledge for everything Traefik-related for our community. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced user of Traefik, we hope the forum will serve as a valuable resource for all your Traefik needs.

What will I find in there?

If you are looking to get more involved and connected with our community, here’s what you’ll find on community.containo.us:

  • Connect with Traefik users from all around the world
  • Easily ask questions and get answers on any technical topics related to Traefik
  • Share your experience and help other members
  • Connect with the core Traefik team, Traefik maintainers, and Traefik contributors

Sign up and get started!

The forum is built using the popular Discourse platform. Creating an account is super easy — just authenticate via email, or with your Github account.

Once you’re on the forum homepage, topics are classified by categories. The categories are listed on the left side with the most recently asked topics on the right side.

You’ll be able to search for a topic, a post, or anything using the magnifying glass on the top right corner.

And if you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, you can add a new post by clicking on the “New Topic” button. From here, you only need to select a category, write a title, and your description. We encourage you to be as specific as possible, and to give as much information as possible so that others may have an easier time answering your question.

While the community forum is brand new (and, therefore still pretty empty), you are officially invited to start using the forums for all support questions and discussions today!

The forum is moderated by Traefik contributors, but if you’d like to participate in answering questions, feel free to do so. This community forum is open and free to everyone, so please join us!

We’d love to hear your feedback!

If you have any suggestions or comments on how we could improve the forum, feel free to contact us, we’d love to hear from you!

We look forward to seeing you in the forum!
