# Remove default entrypoints on fresh k3s install

On a fresh k3s installation, traefik has default entrypoints that use port 80 and 443. I want to get rid of them.

```auto
apiVersion: v1
kind: Service
metadata:
  annotations:
    meta.helm.sh/release-name: traefik
    meta.helm.sh/release-namespace: kube-system
  ...
spec:
  ...
  ports:
  - name: web
    nodePort: 30617
    port: 80
    protocol: TCP
    targetPort: web
  - name: websecure
    nodePort: 30392
    port: 443
    protocol: TCP
    targetPort: websecure

```

I tried to override the k3s helm chart by creating a HelmChartConfig in `/var/lib/rancher/k3s/server/manifests/k3s-traefik-config.yaml`

```auto
apiVersion: helm.cattle.io/v1
kind: HelmChartConfig
metadata:
  name: traefik
  namespace: kube-system
spec:
  valuesContent: |-
    ports:
      web: null
      websecure: null

```

However, the ports are still bound (and it blocks the Gateway API from using it). I am new to kubernetes so this leaves me confused and I don't even know if I'm looking in the right direction.

I resolved my problem by replacing traefik with nginx-gateway-fabric.
